Azure migration tool not picking up an existing assessment

I have created an Azure Migration project, successfully deployed an appliance, and run an initial assessment using the Assessment portion of the migrate page. However when I go to the Migration & Modernization box and try to start a replication, it acts like I don't have an appliance in place and just tries to run me through the wizard to create a new appliance again.

I even tried resetting the existing appliance and verifying it using the new key in that wizard and it runs an assessment but the replication wizard still tries to create a new appliance.

    Hi Shawn Welker,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

I could suggest fixing only the common issues to narrow down this issue.

    • Double-check that you are in the correct Azure Migrate project. Sometimes, assessments and replications are tied to specific projects, so ensure that the project selected in the Migration & Modernization box is the same one where you created the assessment.
    • Try refreshing the Azure Migrate dashboard. This can help sync the latest status of your appliance and assessment.
    • Go to the Azure Migrate >Discovery and assessment section >verify the status of your appliance. Ensure that it shows as "Connected" and that the last discovery time is recent.
    • If the appliance appears to be connected but the replication wizard still doesn't recognize it, try re-running the discovery process from the Azure Migrate > Discovery and assessment section. This can sometimes help the tool resync with the appliance.
    • Sometimes, cached information can cause issues. Try using a different browser or clear your browser cache and cookies, then attempt to start the replication process again.

Let me know if you have already tried these.
