It is possible that the Word documents being uploaded to Class Notebook are empty due to a technical issue or error during the upload process. It is recommended to check the file size of the uploaded document to ensure that it is not empty or corrupted. Additionally, it may be helpful to try uploading the document again or using a different file format. If the issue persists, contacting Microsoft support or a Microsoft representative for assistance may be necessary.

    Hi Krys Paszkiewicz,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Q&A forum

The problem can be with the way the file is being shared or the upload procedure. A possible workaround would be to upload the Word document to the Class Notebook after saving it to OneDrive and sharing the link with edit access. Students can access the paper straight from OneDrive in this manner. File format or size issues could be another factor. The file might not upload properly and download as a blank document if it is too big or in an incompatible format. You can attempt the following troubleshooting steps:

    • Check if the file is too big or in the wrong format.
    • Make sure students have the right permissions to view and edit the document.
    • Rather than uploading the file straight to Class Notebook, consider uploading it to OneDrive and providing the URL.
