Account inactive until I can get some help downloading zip files into my VM

I am trying to download zip files in my VM I've been inactive since last night due to this problem. I paid $29 for technical help but have not had anyone contact me. I've been trying almost 5 hours. Can anyone help? I've very new to Azure and I don't understand a lot of this technical material on this site.

Hi @Janice A ,

Assuming it is a Windows VM, if your trying to transfer Zip files from your local machine to your VM you can do so easily via RDP.

Follow this guide to connect to your Windows VM via RDP. Once you have the remote connection established simply CTL+C on the zip files on your local machine, and CTL+V on the VM. RDP Connects your clipboards so this is the easiest way to transfer a few Zip files.

If your using a Linux VM or the above way doesn't work for you due to scaling considerations leave a comment below.

I wrote in yesterday that I get an error message when I try to connect my iMac via RDP. The error is: We couldn't connect to the remote PC because the PC can't be found. Please provide the fully-qualified name or the IP address of the remote PC and then try again. Error code: 0x104 My IP address was placed properly. It would be great if I could connect it!

Yes. I sent in a support ticket Case #120120324003010. Because I hadn't heard back since this morning I went ahead and purchased support hoping I could get this resolved quickly. But I don't see any way of contacting them.

Hey JaniceA-8917, I'll try to reach out to the support team internally regarding your case. As for your error message, where are you obtaining the IP Address or FQDN from? It sounds like this isn't a firewall issue but rather the IP Address your providing to RDP is incorrect.

With MacOS and the Microsoft Remote Desktop app (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/microsoft-remote-desktop/id1295203466?mt=12) the rdp file should work.

Thanks - I've installed it and just need to restart the computer. I'm not that familiar yet with this website - didn't realize I was putting all this in the public forum. Do you have a link for Microsoft Support for future reference please?

You can see support plans here. The table describes the benefits of each support plan such as the response time. Clicking the blue button at the top for your support plan will redirect you to the Azure Portal where you can open a Ticket with Azure Technical Support.

@Janice A , In addition to what my colleague @WinstonHoward-MSFT ·already described , I would like to add that the developer support has different types of SLA than production support and we would contact you within 8 hours or so considering that developer environment issues would always have less priority than any mission critical production issues. Sometimes , there are some delays due to exponential volume of cases that we get but most of the times you would have the engineer from support reach you over email directly. As you already bought the plan for $29 . You can open new cases whenever you have any issues for this month . The support plan will be renewed after one month . Alternatively, you can also post in our forums and we will be happy to help you and answer your queries.

I would use that for future reference but I don't see a submit button using a drop down menu with those selections above, only a "post your answer". I've tried different things on my mac with various keys but the option F10 key only brings up music selections.
