Visio .vsd file not opening

Hi,

I am unable to open an older (2020) .vsd file, it seems to be corrupted. Another, even older (2018) .vsd file opens no problem.

Is there anything to be done?

Thanks!

    Hi @Torsten Berning

Can others open the (2020).vsd file properly?

Does the (2020).vsd file come from the location same as (2018) .vsd file?

I suggest you use 3rd-party software to open and check whether the file is corrupt. Such as LibreDraw.

Besides, I find a similar, you may try purplegerbil's suggestion.

Thank you for the quick response!

I think I found the problem: in the old Visual file, I had copy-pasted an arrow from MS .ppt into the .vsd file, simply because I don't like the appearance of the arrows in Visual too much. This was possible in the old .ppt and .vsd.

When I now copy an arrow from .ppt and try to paste it into the new Visual drawing, the program shuts down. I ended up remaking the drawing and use the Visual arrows.

Please let me know when yo have resolved this issue ;-)
