Have just discovered that I have a dulicate accounts associated with one email address. My certificates are all assigned to one MSID and my next exam (in 10 days) is associated with a different one. So I need either of the following asap Switch the MSID against my upcoming exam Merge the two accounts I can't log into the account associated to my upcoming exam I won't be able to sit the exam at present. Any help greatly appreciated.

I hope your upcoming exam is booked through exam provider like Pearson so for sitting for the exam won't be an issue since you just have to provide valid form of id.Once you sit for the exam you will receive an email for the correct certification account then you can login to that and merge the two accounts from there.If you can't then send an email to certification support so they will help you.

in certification profile section in settings how many MCIDs you can see? one or two? If it only have one MCID with you email then click the contact certification support link just below it and select the connect certification profle link. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/connect-cert-profile-to-learn it will direct you to this. follow this. Isuru - Thanks for this advise. I've completed and passed my certification. Now need to get it onto the correct account. How do I email as can't see any options for that.

Hi Cristopher,

after you complete your exam youll get an outcome letter either printed from test centre or to the email you are curent exam was registered too.IF not the email ID the document you ll get from the exam centre will have a Certification ID.If you dont know the email go to your Learn profile,got to settings ,go to certification profiles then see whether you cn find the MCID there.If not there is abut in the page saying amange certification profiles and exam discounts .click it then you add the profile which you have done your recent exam.

Isuru - I'm afraid I'm not understanding the steps provided. I have both MCIDs and pearson vue have advised they are linked to the same email address. I've tried logging into microsoft learn with my email account and follow the last steps you gave me but its trying to book me onto another exam which I don't want. Please help

OK Here we go.

1)https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/

If you already have a account sign in if not create one.

2)go to the initial button one top right corner.then select settings

3)whe you go down on settings you will see a section named connected certification profiles.

4)It will have all the MCIDs with its email IDs like a table

5)If you cannot see yout MCID there click the button Mange certification profiles and exam discounts

6)Then select edit profile.

7)you can edit all your info there and click update.

8)If then go to the same settings menu on learner profile

9)If you want to link a another Lerner account to the same learner account go to account Management and Merge.

still no joy. No option to merge under account management. Also both MCIDs have the same email address so can't add one to the other.

They have investigated, advised that there are two candidate MSIDs against the same email and to contact Microsoft. which is proving exceptionally difficult
