@Hamed, Ali Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

To clarify this issue, what did you mean "E5 Dev license"? Based on my understanding, we need a Defender for Endpoint license and an intune license.

Here is the license requirement for Defender for Endpoint:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/defender-endpoint/minimum-requirements

For the message in the screenshot, it means there is no intune license. Please make sure if you have intune license.

If there is anything update, feel free to let us know.

    Hi Hamed, Ali,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

As Xenia-MSFT mentioned, as per the screenshot you provided, it was mentioned that the license was not found.

Please verify whether the issue is caused by the following reasons:

    Licensing Issue:

Double-check that the appropriate license for Microsoft Intune is assigned to the user or users experiencing the problem. Sometimes licenses might not be assigned correctly or may have expired.

    Administrative Permissions:

Make sure that the user account you are using has sufficient administrative permissions to access and manage licenses in Microsoft Intune.

    Service Outage:

Check if there are any ongoing service outages or disruptions with Microsoft Intune. Sometimes, temporary service interruptions can affect license validation.

Please follow below steps to enable Microsoft Intune Connection:

    1.     Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center:

    2.     Enable the Microsoft Defender for Endpoint connection:

    • In the Intune admin center, navigate to Endpoint security > Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
    • Click Open the Microsoft Defender Security Center.

    3.     Configure the connection:

    • In the Microsoft Defender portal (previously known as the Microsoft Defender Security Center), go to Settings > Endpoints > Advanced features.
    • Scroll down and enable the Microsoft Intune connection by choosing On.
    • Click Save to apply the changes.

I have M365 Dev tenant and Defender for Endpoint license is not included there. You need to buy additional license.
