Bing News search API server errors

Hi,

We are experiencing server errors(500- internal server error) from Bing News Search API (v7) recently. We can’t get any details of the errors except the number of errors from Metrics page.

Is there a way to find why a request is failed at the server end? Or can we get some insights from the service responses?

@Sankar Gopalakrishnan I think today bing search is experiencing some issues as per the updates on service health portal of azure.

Last update (2024-05-23T13:14:53.0726817Z)

Impact Statement: Starting at 05:00 UTC on 23 May 2024, customers using Bing Search or Bing Custom Search APIs may experience service disruptions. Affected customers might encounter errors such as HTTP 503 Service Unavailable, HTTP 429 Too Many Requests, or higher than expected latency when performing requests to our service.

Current Status: Additional engineering resources are actively working to resolve this issue as a top priority. Root cause and appropriate mitigation workstreams are in progress. We understand the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience. The next update will be provided in 2 hours or as events warrant.

Thank you @romungi-MSFT . Can you please share the link where you can see this information.

We are getting server errors more often for the past few months and we don’t find the exact error message from the service. Any help is appreciated. We would like to know more details on the error if there are service disruptions in the future.
