I have been following this Power Apps training module and can't select a collection as a data source. The collection exists in the tree view but I can't select it as a data source. Has functionality changed since the training was created, or is there maybe an option or setting I need to turn on? This question is related to the following Learning Module

Once you created the collection, take a blank screen and add the data table, if you do not find the collection under the data source as per the below screenshot. Kindly follow the alternative steps. Step 1: Select the data table and in Power fx give the collection name as per the below screenshots. Thanks you for your response. I did find this workaround yesterday but it seems to cause issues with the buttons in the next steps of the tutorial - they all have errors.

Could you please confirm what you mean by "clear the browsing history"?

Hi Syed,

Cleared all history, created a new blank app and started over.
Same issue with collection not showing as data source (but used the workaround again) and same problem with buttons.

ok, I can now see the issue. The syntax for the column header names in your examples above is different to that of the training module.

In the training module (and my earlier screenshot) the are in double quotations. In your examples they are not.

I have removed the quotations and it is now working as expected.

Hello,

I am having the same problem and cannot use a collection as the data source for a Microsoft training exercise. It's now August and this issue doesn't appear to have been fixed yet and it's hard to move through the training exercises when we can't follow the instructions provided...workarounds are fine and all, and I successfully did the workaround and pulled the collection data into a table, but the resulting data table doesn't fit with the training module I'm working on.
