MySQL database on Azure Disappeared from my resources?

I have 2 wordpress websites running on my azure subscription which use the same Mysql database on Azure under the same subscription and resource group. which is nowhere to be found anymore? and both my websites giving error as Error establishing a database connection?!

My database just disappeared from azure!?? how? how do i bring it back? I contacted support but says I have only basic support included which includes only billing and subscription level queries- I am stressed. has anyone had this before?

We are sorry about the inconvenience you are experiencing, and this is a strange issue.

Could you please check though Azure CLI command: az mysql server show --resource-group myresourcegroup --name mydemoserver , if details appear up for the MySQL server.

In the meantime, could you please increase the value for “max_allowed_packet” from the Azure Database for MySQL server parameter pane to see if that will resolve the issue.

Same problem here.

Mysql DB disappeared... suddently a morning.. without any action from me.

az mysql server show --resource-group myresourcegroup --name mydemoserver

says resource not found.

It's like DB never existed, but I still have the private network and dns associated with this DB (created from WordpressDB on Azure).

I still pay for the resource... Azure for Mysql Database appear in cost manager.

How is it possible ?!

Found out why.... Microsoft disabled Mysql Db single server on Sept. 16

Instead you have to use Flexible server.

You can use DMS (Database migration service) to "migrate" data... (in progress as I write)

Well.. my DB (loctet-wordpressdb.mysql.database.azure.com) doesn't appear anywhere... nor in the DMS project nor in Azure Portal.... nowhere.

Regarding Azure Doc, It should be accessible through portal...
