Auto update on IR onpremise hosting

I'm using the self-hosted IR for on-premise servers. I found that there is an auto update setting in IR, but the comments is weird. Can anyone tell me if it is right for auto updating? User's image

    Hi EUNSIL kim , Thankyou for using Microsoft Q&A platform and thanks for posting your query here. As per my understanding, your concern is that the next scheduled date for auto-update feature for self hosted IR is showing as a past date in your case . Could you please share more details like what is the current version of your SHIR, how many nodes are attached to it, which location it points to?

    Usually when there are multiple nodes enabled for SHIR , the auto-update takes place without any job getting abandoned.

    So, If you have multiple self-hosted integration runtime nodes, there is no downtime during auto-update. The auto-update happens in one node first while others are working on tasks. When the first node finishes the update, it will take over the remain tasks when other nodes are updating. If you only have one self-hosted integration runtime, then it has some downtime during the auto-update. If you have multiple nodes, and for some reasons that some of them aren't auto-updated successfully. Then these nodes roll back to the version, which was the same across all nodes before the auto-update. I believe that during the last scheduled time, it wasn't successfully updated in your case and that may be the reason why the scheduled date is showing as past date.

    I would recommend you to manually upgrade your SHIR to the latest version and see if the notification still says same warning, then I would take it ahead with the internal team. Download the latest version of SHIR from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=39717
