Hi

I learned Onedrive icons means on below link but still had one question.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/what-do-the-onedrive-icons-mean-11143026-8000-44f8-aaa9-67c985aa49b3

Question1: what's difference between 'Green tick icons' and ‘Solid green circle with the white check mark’

The file icon will become 'Green tick icons' when open an online -only file. Refer the explain, ''You can open a locally available file anytime, even without Internet access. ''

But the file with icon of 'Solid green circle with the white check mark', ''These always available files download to your device and take up space, but they’re always there for you even when you’re offline.''

Question 2: It whether means that the 'Green tick icons' files also occupy disk space? If so, what's difference between 'Green tick icons' and ‘Solid green circle with the white check mark’ files?

Question 3:The 'Green tick icons' files Whether will back to 'Blue cloud icon' after restart computer or restart the Onedrive client?

Your assistance is highly appreciated.Thanks

    Hi @Max,

Question1: what's difference between 'Green tick icons' and ‘Solid green circle with the white check mark’

Question 2: It whether means that the 'Green tick icons' files also occupy disk space? If so, what's difference between 'Green tick icons' and ‘Solid green circle with the white check mark’ files?

The green tick icon means it is locally available (stored on your device) and can be opened when offline but if you have Storage Sense enabled these files will become online only again after an amount of time that you have set.

The solid green circle with a white tick means the file will always be available on your device if you are offline (stored locally). The Storage Sense policy would not make this file online only after a certain period of time.

Question 3:The 'Green tick icons' files Whether will back to 'Blue cloud icon' after restart computer or restart the Onedrive client?

The 'Green tick icons' files will remain as 'Green tick icons' even after restarting the computer or OneDrive client.
