I've just reinstalled windows 11 around 2 days ago, everything was running smoothly until now, had a crash about 30 mins ago,I had an update yesterday and just installed the most recent update for Windows 11 2 minutes after the crash, the blues screen was CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED, does reinstalling windows 11 fix corrupted files (as it should) or is it a hardware issue, I've just installed latest nvidea drive too after the crash, or could it be high bandwidth usage for prime video? Too note this happened on occasion before the reinstall which is what prompted me to reinstalled in the fist place, could it also be a dodgy cable? Thanks in advance if I receive an answer.

Experiencing a "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED" blue screen error in Windows 11 can be caused by a variety of factors, including software, hardware, or driver issues. Reinstalling Windows can sometimes resolve software-related problems, but it may not necessarily fix hardware issues or certain driver problems.

Here are some steps to help you diagnose and potentially resolve the issue:

    1. Hardware Check:
      • Hardware issues can sometimes lead to blue screen errors. Make sure all your hardware components (RAM, hard drive, GPU, etc.) are properly seated and functioning correctly.
      • Consider running hardware diagnostic tests, if available for your system, to check for any hardware problems.
    2. Driver Updates:
      • Ensure all your device drivers are up to date. This includes graphics, chipset, network, and any other drivers. You mentioned updating your NVIDIA driver, which is a good step.
      • Check the manufacturer's website for the latest driver updates.
    3. Windows Updates:
      • Keep Windows 11 up to date with the latest updates and patches. The update you installed after the crash was a good move.
    4. Software Conflicts:
      • Sometimes, third-party software can lead to blue screen errors. If the issue started happening after installing specific software, consider uninstalling or updating it.
    5. Check for Overheating:
      • Overheating can cause system instability. Ensure that your system's temperature is within acceptable limits.
    6. Memory Test:
      • Run a memory test using Windows Memory Diagnostic or third-party tools to check for RAM issues.
    7. Cable and Hardware Connections:
      • Check all your hardware connections and cables to ensure they are secure and not causing any intermittent issues.
    8. Check for Malware:
      • Perform a full system scan with an up-to-date antivirus or antimalware software to check for malware or viruses.
    9. High Bandwidth Usage:
      • High bandwidth usage, such as streaming video, should not typically cause a "CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED" error. However, ensure your network drivers are updated.
    10. Logs and Minidump Files:
      • Check the Windows Event Viewer for error messages related to the crash.
      • Look for minidump files in the C:\Windows\Minidump directory and analyze them for more specific information about the error.

If you continue to experience blue screen errors after taking these steps, it may be beneficial to consult with a professional technician who can diagnose and address any potential hardware issues. Reinstalling Windows can help with software-related problems, but it doesn't resolve underlying hardware or driver issues.

PC slowed down when starting... rotating bubble circle even freezed ... PC didn't react to input in search bar and didn't start desktop programs with double click PC did start first time with bluescreen then normal... edge internet explorer did work, but programs not when clicking on desktop uninstalling updates and functional update didn't make it better windows start reapair couldn't help PC did bring bluescreen when connecting unformatted nvme with external usb case. Formatted nvme (on win10 pc) did bring no error on win11 pc, connected again with usb device. kernel1

first it appeared as a kernel data inpage error. after returning to a saved installing point from January 18th it changed to the other "critical process died" bluescreen critical process died dism did bring, that data is damaged an replaced successfully offline dism I wasn't able to do thought first it is "ashampoo uninstaller 14"... but perhaps not intel nvme disabling in bios didn't work. nvme boot drive is recocnized well on other pc, virus free when putting the nvme to another win11 pc same bluescreen. win11 - 64bit - B660H7-M20 mainboard installed win10(home license from bios) upgraded to win10pro and upgraded to win11pro, probably installed all drivers only via windows update. perhaps that was the problem. not sure. (pc originally with win11home)

In my case, I changed CPU to desktop gaming PC, new setup of OS, gaming etc. no problem. But after I enabled virtualization capabilities in CPU, my Windows 11 started crashing with same bsod error. I re-installed OS and problems gone away. CPU is on 50c on bios.
