Hi, about three weeks ago, I received strange emails titled "Eco Savings Elon Musk", "Advanced Energy by Elon Musk", and "Tool Upgrade USA" from various senders. Here are some examples:01

They usually came at a specific time period at around 11 PM - 5 AM in Bangkok local time. I checked the Subscription section in "Settings" and saw that I have apparently subscribed to various strange sites that I definitely did not subscribe to. User's image

Trying to unsubscribe prompted a message box telling me that I would be sent to a webpage with a link that I did not believe would be safe to follow.

I just decided to Block these websites instead, but they keep showing back up with new sites and my email automatically 'subscribe' to them without my knowledge, and they keep sending me these emails that I believe are phishing attempts or worse.

I don't know how to completely block out these strange spam mails because they keep showing up in my primary inbox no matter how many times I tried to block these sites in my subscription page, and I don't know how my email keeps subscribing to these strange sites in the first place and I am worried that my email might be hacked somehow. Please advise.

    Hi @ViriyaV-2154

    Welcome to our forum! '

Depending on your description, this could be phishing or fraud. To avoid spam, please try the following possible actions:

    • Report the spam emails as junk. This will help Outlook filter out similar messages in the future and prevent them from reaching your Inbox.

    User's image

    • Add both users and domain names to the block list. Junk>Junk E-mail Options>Block senders.

    • Check the security of your account for suspicious behavior. Someone may have hacked into your account or signed up for various subscriptions using your email address. You should change your password and enable two-factor authentication to protect your account. You should also review recent activity and log out of any devices you don't recognize. You can do this by logging into your primary Microsoft account and selecting Security. More information, see:  How to help keep your Microsoft account safe and secure - Microsoft Support.
    • In addition, the most important thing is not to click on unfamiliar links, as this is the easiest to get into a scam and cause the safety of your property.

    Hope this helps!
