Hi, I am a employee with 1+ years of experience in data governance field and worked on data governance/ data catalog tools like Collibra. I was searching for other data governance tools and found MS Purview. Curious about MS Purview checked the documentation about it it is fascinating. I just want to know is there any certification provided by the Microsoft to master the MS Purview or is it only the documentation I have to refer ? Please share your valuable feedback/ helpful links. Thanks for the reply. I have read it in google when was searching more about Purview, that DP-900 certification must be a prerequisite for starting the Purview. Is it right ? or can you suggest some prerequisites certification[if available] before starting the purview.

@Sai Charan Yelchuri - DP-900 is specific to Azure Data Fundamentals. And this doesn't include Purivew. And purview is not required to get certified into DP-900.

This exam is an opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge of core data concepts and related Microsoft Azure data services. As a candidates for this exam, you should have familiarity with Exam DP-900’s self-paced or instructor-led learning material.

This exam is intended for you, if you’re a candidate beginning to work with data in the cloud.

You should be familiar with:

The concepts of relational and non-relational data.

Different types of data workloads such as transactional or analytical.

For more details, refer to the DP-900 study guide to help you prepare for the exam.

@Alfredo Samper For Purview, it is exam SC-400 and then exam MS-102. These two are not 100% Purview, however, it does make up a substantial amount.

SC-400 is fine for the compliance aspect, for the data governance side the lack of certification and adequate resources (lol the Govern your data course!) is shocking and a major limitation. One way to ensure failure is to not provide training materials to utilise the new functionality.
