thanks for the reply. default policy is as follows
I have a VM I am trying to restore on a DefaultPolicy backup but cant see any backups older than 2 months

the VM backups restore points only show back to 30 days then 4 weekly backups but nothing else... VM is on the DefaultPolicy so I should have weekly's, monthly's and yearly's.
On the main backup page it tells me oldest restore point is 7/1/2019 (1 year(s) ago) but when I click link to recover from restore point older than 30 days it only shows me a few daily's and the 4 weekly....
Has anyone else came across this issue and know of a possible solution?

Sorry for the inconvenience this must have caused!Could you please share the screenshot of the default policy configured for the VM in question?
You can refer to this documentation to query a VM configured with default policy.

very embarrassingly on the restore over 30 days page where i only saw a few extra backups, I missed the Date Filter option and when I changed the range I saw more backups available.
