MFA for guest user

Hi all,

we have added guest accounts (webmails) in our Active Directory and it was authenticated with mfa earlier and am not sure why I am unable to add another device for the same guest account , and also it was throwing an error (we couldn’t find an account with that username . Try another or get a new Microsoft account , though it was already in our Active Directory still it was throwing the error , if I am able to login I can navigate to security info and add the authentication method for the other devices as mfa , I need to add guest account to 2 other devices of Microsoft authenticator app , can anyone help ?

Yes, you can configure authenticator app for one account on multiple devices.

For this you can configure authenticator app for authenticator app for one device by following instructions on screen when you try to access Azure resources.

To add another account

• You can browse to URL https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info
• Access the "Security info" page on left pane.
• Click on "Add sign-in method"
• Select Authenticator app option from drop down list.
• Click on Add.
• Follow the instructions. You will be able to configure authenticator app for one account on multiple devices.
