I an unable to add a word in my document to my custom dictionary i get the message custom dictionary not available.

On going to Options | Proofing I see I have the roaming custom diciotnary and Englisg (Australia) as the only selected dictionaries.

If I try to add the old custom.dic file I get teh message "You have tried to open too many custom dictionaries".

If I try to edit the word list in the roamingcustom.dic nothiung happens. This was all working 3 weeks ago as I can see the custom.dic file was edited 3 weeks ago.

Can someone assist please

    Hi,

I suggest you go to this location:

    %AppData%\Microsoft\Spelling

Please check if you have 10 custom dictionaries in the folder, try to remove One(back up the folder) and check the result.
