Is there an additional cost to adding attached disk to a VM which resides on a dedicated host? Wanting to confirm that the dedicated host cost covers only the CPUs, Memory, and OS Disk (C drive and the temporary D drive)? Additional attached disk to the VM would be a separate cost from the dedicated host cost?

    Hi,

Yes, storage costs additional just like with normal (non-dedicated host) VMs. For example, for each VM you deploy to a dedicated host you would pay for a managed disk for OS drive (C:), and any Data disk(s). The temporary drive is included in the same way that it is with normal VM, except in cases where the VM series doesn't include temporary storage.

Hi David Kim , Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft Q&A.

Yes, you are correct. The Azure dedicated host cost covers only the CPUs, Memory, and OS Disk
Additional attached disk to the VM would be a separate cost from the dedicated host cost.

Users are charged per dedicated host, regardless how many VMs are deployed.
The host price is set based on VM family, type (hardware size), and region. A host price is relative to the largest VM size supported on the host.

Software licensing, storage and network usage are billed separately from the host and VMs.
