Is Azure Backup policy full backup or incremental backup?

How the Azure backup works, will daily, weekly, monthly, yearly configuration cover incremental backup or are all full backup?

@Zhang, Jill-XJ Thats a broad question to answer. In-short, it depends on the type of Azure backup service being used. As already mentioned by @JimmySalian-2011 You might want to go through Azure backup architecture to better understand the differences between each backup service and the types of backups.

Hi,

With Azure Backup it is bit different and for this I will suggest you to review the architecture diagram as the initial backup is full backup and subsequently the algo monitors and proceeds with the incremental or diff backup depending on the changes to the data

In that document they mentioned that azure backups will not support the differential backups.
i want to weather the weekly backups will have total full backup of a week or the all daily backups in that week.

@bharath jella Yes, that's correct.

Only the initial or first backup of a protected instance will be a full backup and the subsequent backups will be incremental.
