When will managed Grafana support accessing data sources on private Azure subnets?

I'm piloting Azure Managed Grafana for my organization was disappointed to find out that there is not currently any support for connecting to resources in private Azure networks that don't have a public IP. Specifically we have several SQL servers on Azure VMs, for security purposes, we do not want to give these boxes public IPs, but I would like to be able to setup a SQL Server data source in Azure Managed Grafana that queries these resources.

When will there be support for connecting to data sources on private networks either via private link or by adding the ability to give the Grafana nodes private IPs on our azure subnets?

    Hi @ADM-BEdwards

Welcome to Microsoft Q & A community Forum!

The only support is adding the IP addresses of the Grafana instance to the firewalls. You can see the IP addresses in the configuration page and click enable on that option.

After that you need to refresh the page so the portal can fetch new information from ARM in order to see the IP addresses.

To access via private endpoints, we are currently investigating but not concrete ETA yet. We are hoping to have this solved next year.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Is there an update?

Azure flexible mysql servers, that are private, are not accessible via private links created.
Or is there an alternative solution possible
