Since it could be an update that caused the issue, maybe you can try a system restore and see if that helps fix the issue right away.
Note: System restore option should be enabled in windows in order for you to perform this step.
Step 1: Launch system restore from search by typing: rstrui.exe
Step 2: select a restore point where RDC / RDP were working fine.
Step 3: Restore the system to that point.
