I am trying to login to my school email account and the only way to do that is with my authenticator app. I got a new phone recently and got logged out of the app which shouldn’t have been a problem since I have the password. But when I try to login to the app it send me a code to use but that code can only be used on that mobile app which I don’t have access to. It’s extremely frustrating. I tried logging in on my laptop but it’s the sending a code to the same place and it won’t let me type in the code so I can get logged in.

    Hello Anthony Abbatecola

    Thanks for your question.

The correct process when swapping phones with authenticator is backing up your credentials. I understand this is frustrating, so the solutions if this was not backed up involve mainly reaching out to admin or support:

Depends on the type of account. You would need contact the admins of the accounts in question for work or school accounts if you do not have recovery methods.

You can also contact the support teams of any applications to assist you in resetting your credentials or reach out to support https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/customer-service-phone-numbers-c0389ade-5640-e588-8b0e-28de8afeb3f2

You can mark it 'Accept Answer' and 'Upvote' if this helped you

    Regards,

    Abiola
