Windows Imaging Component

Question

Hi Microsoft,

Windows Imaging Component does not exists anymore anywhere, but with our accounting program it causes problems with our logos, how can we get this installed again on windows 11 and windows server 22.

We are really desperate for some help please.

You can still get it through the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK), The Windows ADK includes the necessary tools for image customization and deployment, which encompasses the Windows Imaging Component.

1. Download the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK):

• The ADK includes tools needed for customizing Windows images, including the WIC. You can download it from the Microsoft Learn page

2. Install the ADK:

• Run the ADK installer and follow the instructions.

Make sure to include the Windows Imaging Component during the installation process.

Hi Darrell, I have run both the links you send to me. We are using Sage Accounting (Pastel Partner), yes, we have spoken to them, they keep saying we have to install WIC. So now I don't know anymore.

We have only 1x line of communication to Pastel Support, I don't know how to get to the developers. I don't know if that will help talking to them, I will try and get hold of them also.
