Let the vendor do it for you. Trying to get in touch with microsoft without a $500 support case will be near impossible for you.

Hello,
we bought a MS Windows Server 2022 Std. license and received the product key via the usual Microsoft sticker, part of which can be scratched off.
Now we recognized one character of the product key is not legible, because the middle part is missing, could be an C or an G, but if we enter both variants, the key is said to be invalid.
I took a photo with zoom, but no chance to see it anymore.
The distributor told me, that this would be a lengthy process as the key would have to be sent to him first, then to microsoft until we got a new key.
Hey Microsoft, do you have an idea how to solve this easily?

I contacted the distributor, but he said he thought it would be a difficult and lengthy process. I wanted to avoid that, but that's why I won't open a paid ticket with Microsoft.
Then I'll wait and see.
