Domain Controller

I have already up and running Domain Controller (AD, DHCP, DNS, Schema Master, Enterprise Admins) , but it's have a lot of issues, so I would like to start creating new domain controller in order to transfer client machines and users and polices and all other server roles to this new DC. I will give some information about my environment ..

First: Hardware

HPE BladeSystem c7000 Enclosure, with 16 Blade Server, each server have two physical network adapters, and can be used concurrently, but all the enclosure have 2 Ethernet ports and can be connect to two different network switches, or two different ports in same switch, in my case I have some adjacent networks and routable together by default.

Second: Software

My only available role is to install Windows server 2016 within the same address pool, but DHCP can be configure to and another routable network,

So, the current DC and the new DC will be in the same v-Lan or address pool, I don't want to promote the new DC or not to replicate and information saved in AD or DNS or any Polices or permissions. since we decide to transfer information manually.

My question is; What is the best scenario I can start with my plan also to install new exchange server?

New forest or new child domain or any other idea to keep sure I can use new schema master start installing exchange 2016 over Windows Server 2016!

    Hi@AbuElnass,

Make sure when you are running DCDIAG there is no lingering error or AD replication issue.
Do not overcomplicate yourself with sub-domain or forest, keep it simple, single AD forest and domain for the Exchange Server 2019 on Windows Server 2019.

For more check script, use the below that I have tested and use daily:

    Hope that helps.
