Hello
I was logged out of my hotmail account a week back and was asked to log in again. I couldn't recollect my password and when I tried to reset it, the system couldn't send a verification code to my mobile number - It kept throwing this error.
Try another verification method
**That verification method isn't working right now. Please try another method.
**
This has been the case for a week now. I have 2FA setup on my account and have already verified using the backup email that I have.
**
Issue #2
**
When I try to reset my password by just going ahead with the email verification, it throws an error saying
Session Timed Out, try again
I tried doing account recovery via https://account.live.com/acsr and I haven't got a reply yet for over a week now (THE MESSAGE AFTER FILLING OUT THE FORM SAID THERE'LL BE A REVERT IN 24HRS)
Also the 1st point on the form says if you have 2FA enabled, you can't recover. What do you mean can't recover? I assume that was a joke? With such a buggy sign-in system I don't understand what it means that **we can't recover our accounts.
**
I tried calling the customer support number today and all I got was an irrelevant AI generated message point to the sign-in troubleshooting page
As I've mentioned in my title, I created this account back in 2008 and this has been my primary account all this while. Please revert on how can I recover my account. Would appreciate if there are some "human" customer support agents who can help with this.
P.S. Created this new email account, just to get access to the chat forum.
