How do I return to the original mail view?

Hello...Can you give us those step by step instructions? What I'm seeing on my mail now is a jumbled mess with all old mail throughout the years!!! I can't see my current mailbox with mail that I received today!

I can't believe what a mess this has become! Microsoft's instructions are ridiculous. I'm furious with all the time this is taking to get back to the old view. I don't have time for this! I have a business to run and I can't even see my current emails!! WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY THINKING???? And we're supposed to PAY for this aggravation and frustration!!! HELL NO!!!

Can you please fill in your STEP BY STEP way you got your view page back to normal? We would be forever grateful!

Thank you!

    Hi @Jane G

Welcome to our forum! Are you going to set the view settings on the Outlook desktop client?

To set up the view on the Outlook desktop client, follow these guidelines:

Change how the message list is displayed in Outlook - Microsoft Support

    1. Open Outlook: Start by opening your Microsoft Outlook application.
    2. Go to the View Tab: At the top of the Outlook window, click on the "View" tab.
    3. Change View: In the "Current View" group, click on "Change View."
    4. Select Single or Preview: Choose either "Single" or "Preview" to switch your view to a list view.
    5. View Settings: In the "Current View" group, click on "View Settings."
    6. Advanced View Settings: In the "Advanced View Settings" window, click on "Columns."
    7. Show Columns: In the "Show Columns" window, select the columns you want to display and click "Add." If the column you want is not in the list, use the "Select available columns from" drop-down to see additional sets of columns.
    8. Remove Columns: To remove a column, select the column name in the "Show these columns in this order" list and click "Remove."
    9. Save Changes: Click "OK" to save your changes and apply your new view.
