We have been using OneDrive to work simultaneously on files from shared folders on different PCs from a few different accounts. However on February 25 on one of those systems (not the owners of shared data), shared folders, previously available as local folders, were converted to web-links.
They are shown as web-links, and they are marked with dark green check marks (like always available), but they are only links. It's not possible to reach any file in the shared folders except from the browser.
Installed OS and software are
Windows 11 Pro 24H2 x64
OneDrive 25.020.0202.0001
We are working in the East of Ukraine, as a part of Ukrainian Forces, if location matters.
We've tried
- to revoke access permissions and provide those to the account again.
- to flush all data and reinstall a OneDrive desktop client
- to look through the OneDrive settings
- to force download all the saved in cloud content to the local drive.
None didn't help.
How can we revert these web-links back to local files? Plz help to sort this out.
Any direction to investigate\troubleshoot\check would be appreciated.
