I have upgraded my Server from Windows 2016 to Windows 2022.

I need the screen to display OS Version using BGInfo but it keeps showing the old information. On the windows specification shows Edition: windows 2022 Standard but on the Device specifications it shows Server 2016 version 1.0

    Hello Ana Conde_blrg,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community forum.

It's possible that the BGInfo tool is still pulling the old information from the registry. You can try updating the registry key that BGInfo uses to display the OS version.

To do this, open the Registry Editor and navigate to the following key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

Look for the value named "CurrentVersion" and make sure it is set to "10.0". If it is not, you can change it by double-clicking on the value and entering "10.0" in the Value data field.

Once you have updated the registry key, run BGInfo again and it should display the correct OS version.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Haijian Shan
