Hello, we have a Mobile App that uses Azure Notification Hub and APN for iOS push notification, and we received an email from Apple regarding "Action Required: Apple Push Notification Service Server Certificate Update. We’re reaching out with a final reminder that the Certification Authority (CA) for Apple Push Notification service (APNs) is changing. APNs updated the server certificates in sandbox on January 21, 2025. APNs production server certificates will be updated on February 24, 2025. To continue using APNs without interruption, you’ll need to update your application’s Trust Store to include the new server certificate [...]"

We are wondering what action we need to take, i.e. update our APN configuration on Azure Notification Hub. Actually we are using the Certificate Authentication Mode.

Please kindly let us know. Thank you.

    Hi @Tommaso Trevisiol,

We are aware of the Apple's Push Notification Service (APNS) server, you do not need to worry about this. Azure Notification Hubs will handle it for you, Microsoft keeps these certificates updated, so you can continue using our service without any interruption.

Microsoft generally maintains the trusted root certificates for Azure Notification Hub so, in general, you shouldn't have to do anything here manually. when Apple does an update to its certificate, then Microsoft will add it into the trust store.

As you are using the Certificate Authentication Mode you do not have to do anything.
