Last week both devices could see and share R/W both ways on all 6 partitioned drives that I have on each.

Then, I changed the OS drive in my Desktop. Now, my Laptop can no longer see the drives on my Desktop, but my Desktop can continue to see and R/W to my Laptop.

Both have the latest update on Win 11 Pro. Both have the same login user name and password. I can see both PC's on both when I open "Networks."

I have tried everything. Both PC's are configured identically in the "Advanced Sharing Settings".

    Hi Wiley,

Sincere apologies for the inconvenience you are currently experiencing with your network file sharing.

My recommendation to resolving this issue you are experiencing is to config both devices from the beginning simultaneously.
Kindly follow the steps below on both devices.

    • Go to control panel > Network and sharing center > change advanced sharing settings , turn on network discovery and also file and printer sharing.
    • Search services on start menu and start or restart these services
      • UPNP device host
      • SSDP Discovery
      • Function Discovery Provider Host
    • In control panel go to programs and features > on the left panel, click on Turn Windows features on or off. > scroll down to locate SMB, check the box for both and click on ok to install the feature.
    • restart your PC and check to see if connection as been established on both sides.

Kindly let me know if you need any clarifications.

Thanks for your feedback, can you try switch the accounts of both devices to local, from Account > your info, then restart both devices and see if you can have access from both ends.
