Hello,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A,
To connect your Azure Stack Edge device to the Azure environment, ensure you have a supported Azure subscription and the necessary permissions.
Supported Azure Subscriptions:
- Azure Stack Edge requires an active Azure subscription for billing and device management.
- Supported subscription types include:
- Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (EA)
- Cloud Solution Provider (CSP)
- Microsoft Azure Sponsorship
- Ensure your subscription is enabled for Azure Stack Edge resources
Required Permissions:
- You need Owner or Contributor access at the resource group level for the following resources:
- Azure Stack Edge
- IoT Hub
- Azure Storage
- To create an order in the Azure Edge Hardware Center, ensure the Microsoft.EdgeOrder provider is registered in your subscription.
By ensuring you have a supported subscription, the necessary permissions, and the required resource providers registered, you should be able to connect your Azure Stack Edge device to the Azure environment without encountering authorization issues.
