Hello,

1

I'm getting 'The Custom Model project could not be found' error when I tried to train a custom model after labeling PDF files in Document Intelligence Studio. What could be causing this? Could it be related to permissions? I currently have 'Cognitive Services User' and 'Reader' roles.

    Hi Belkiss Souayed

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum, thank you for posting your query here!

The error message "The Custom Model project could not be found" could be related to several factors.

    Here are some steps:

    1. You might in wrong active directory, please change to correct "active directory" from your profile.
    2. Regarding permissions, having the 'Cognitive Services User' and 'Reader' roles is typically required for accessing Document Intelligence Studio. Please check with "Cognitive Service Contributor" role once.
    3.  For training a custom model, you may also need the 'Storage Blob Data Contributor' role for the storage account to create the project and label data. If local (key-based) authentication is disabled for your Document Intelligence resource, you may need additional permissions to use the functions on Document Intelligence Studio.
    4. That the Document Intelligence resource associated with your custom model project may have been deleted or moved. If this is the case, you would need to recreate the Document Intelligence resource under the same subscription and resource group with the same name or recreate the custom project with the migrated Document Intelligence resource.
    5. Resource might have moved to virtual network; you might not have sufficient permission to communicate over virtual networks.
