Go to the Azure Portal and sign in with your credentials.
- In the Azure Portal, click on the "Help + Support" option in the left-hand menu.
- Alternatively, you can search for "Help + Support" in the search bar at the top of the portal.
- Click on the "Create a support request" button.
Fill in the Support Request Form:
- Issue Type: Select "Technical".
- Subscription: Choose the subscription associated with your SQL Managed Instance.
- Service: Select "SQL Database Managed Instance".
- Problem Type: Choose an appropriate category, such as "Configuration and Setup".
- Problem Subtype: Select an appropriate subcategory, such as "Logical Name Release".
- Summary: Provide a brief summary of your issue, e.g., "Request to release SQL MI logical name before 7-day timeout".
- Description: Provide a detailed description of your issue, including the logical name you want to be released and any relevant details.
