Hi @Anne,
Based on your description, you are facing the issue caused by WebView2. Please consider repairing WebView2 first. Go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features, and look for Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime. Right click on it and select Change to repair.
If you can't find Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime here, it is also expected because it belongs to system component now. You need to follow these steps to make it appear:
Open Registry Editor and make the following registry modification at either location:
- On 32-bit Windows:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Microsoft EdgeWebView
- On 64-bit Windows:
HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Microsoft EdgeWebView
Modify the DWORD named SystemComponent
Change the value from '1' (0x00000001) to '0' (0x00000000)
Hit "OK" to save the changes, and then you should be able to find the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime and repair it.
