Microsoft 365 App Install failures 0x0000426A
I am in the process of moving our Microsoft 365 installers to a single unified installer. Previously we had separated Teams from the base M365 install when Microsoft announced they were doing the same. However, since end of 2024 when Microsoft stated they are re-bundling Teams with the installer (aware that licenses are still separate) and the fact that PatchMyPC is not supporting New Teams, we are looking to move back to a single office installer for all M365 apps.
In my POC I have excluded the group from the PMP installer of Teams classic as well as the Intune Microsoft 365 installer that was pushing the base suite of apps. I created a new M365 installer with the base apps + teams (6 apps total). When deploying to the POC group I am seeing a high number of failures with error code 0x0000426A. A couple threads I've found mention moving to the semi-annual channel to fix, but my initial testing didn't seem to resolve this. I've screenshot the configuration I am using for the new installer and hoping someone has had some luck in getting this type of issue resolved in their environment. It does seem like, for some devices at least, it will sit at the error for a few days and then eventually flip over to "installed".
However, I don't want to roll this out to our 1100 devices and have a large number of users see their office apps disappear or become corrupted.
