Hi Guys,

After last Windows update I noticed that the temperatures are a bit higher then usual. I checked everything on my side and seems fine. I searched a bit and I think I'm not the only one person with this problem.

Ryzen 7 7800X3D by the way.

Thanks,
MW

@Siroosian, Shahin I changed CPU, thermal paste month ago. It's not a throttling. Temperatures are not that bad but it was 5-10 degrees less before update.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

If the CPU temperature rises after upgrading to Windows 11 24H2, here are some possible reasons and solutions:

    1. Open Task Manager and check if there are any processes with high CPU usage. If it is an abnormal process, you can terminate the process and uninstall the related services.
    2. After the update, the old hardware drivers may not be compatible with the new system, causing the hardware to not work properly. I recommend that you visit the official website of the motherboard and CPU manufacturer to download and install the latest drivers. Especially the chipset driver, power management driver and graphics driver.
    3. Open "Control Panel" > "Power Options". Select "Balanced" or "Energy Saving" mode and avoid using "High Performance" mode. Click "Change Plan Settings" > "Change Advanced Power Settings" to check if the CPU maximum state is set to a reasonable value (such as 80%-90%).
    4. Open "Settings" > "Windows Update" and check if there are any updates that are not installed. Microsoft may release a fix to resolve known issues.

I hope the information above is helpful.

    Best regards

    Zunhui
