- cpc.web.beta: This refers to the Remote Desktop Web Client, which allows users to access Remote Desktop services directly through a web browser without installing any additional software.
- com.microsoft.rdc.windows.wa.msrdc.msix.x64: The new Remote Desktop app for Windows, distributed as an MSIX package for 64-bit systems.
- com.microsoft.rdc.html: This corresponds to the Remote Desktop Web Client, enabling access via web browsers.
- com.microsoft.rdc.windows.msrdc.x64: This represents the Remote Desktop client for Windows available as a standalone installer (MSI) for 64-bit systems.
- com.microsoft.rdc.windows.store: The older Universal Windows Platform (UWP) Remote Desktop app from the Microsoft Store.
- com.microsoft.rdc.ios: This refers to the Remote Desktop client for iOS devices, allowing connections from iPhones and iPads.
- com.microsoft.rdc.macos: This denotes the Remote Desktop client for macOS, enabling Mac users to connect to Remote Desktop services.
And also, the new Windows App refers to the MSIX package (com.microsoft.rdc.windows.wa.msrdc.msix.x64), which is the latest and recommended version.
The old Store Remote Desktop app is the UWP app (com.microsoft.rdc.windows.store).
The MSI Remote Desktop app (com.microsoft.rdc.windows.msrdc.x64) was popular before the MSIX version became available.
