The biggest problem is that he has program in two computers that the wants to work with the same data and the program is old and cant work with network files. I have now created a batfile that should copy the local files from his local computers to onedrive but because of the & it wont work. I have renamed the companyname to contain och insteed of & but i still has & on the local "Onedrive- companyname" i have deleted the mapp on the local computer and created a new onedrive - Company mapp and changed location and now i get the same mapp under the newly created mapp. how tio solve it ?

    Hi @Martin A Johansson ,

All OneDrive for Business look like OneDrive – Company name. So, if you want to rename your OneDrive for business folder, you need to change the company name in Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

If you are willing, you may try following steps:

1.As Microsoft 365 admin, firstly go to change your organization name via Microsoft 365 admin center > Settings > Org settings > Organization profile > Organization information > in the Name box, modify your organization name and click Save.

2.Go to C:\users<user name>, check if the folder with unwanted OneDrive account exists, if so, delete it.

3.Then go to the Windows device, unlink OneDrive account first, clicking OneDrive icon from notification area>click Settings > Account >click "Unlink this PC" > unlink account.

4.Open Registry Editor and find the following place:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace

5.Find registry with the unwanted OneDrive folder name in Data column, delete the registry by right click on it.

Note: please first backup the registry before making any changes. You can right click on it > Export to save the registry in another location.

6.Delete the OneAuth and Identity Cache folders in the below location

    • %localappdata%/Microsoft/OneAuth
    • %localappdata%/Microsoft/IdentityCache

7.Sign in OneDrive to set up your account again, then check the outcome.

    Here are my test results:
