We are using the Question answering service of Azure language service.
Nuget package used: Azure.AI.Language.QuestionAnswering --version 1.1.0 --Last updated in 2022
Other than this we are not using any other Nuget or services. Recently we got mail 'Azure AI Language preview APIs 2024-05-15-preview or earlier will be retired on 31 March 2025' from azure. Will it have any effects on the custom question answering service.
Latest version in the change log is unreleased - 1.2.0-beta.1 (Unreleased)

Hi, we are using Nuget package - Azure.AI.Language.Conversations --version 1.1.0. We should just update the api-version parameter to latest right
for example - {endpoint}/language/:analyze-conversations?api-version=[latest version]
Will Azure.AI.Language.QuestionAnswering we affected with this

Do you have any update on this? We are using Azure.AI.Language.QuestionAnswering SDK and if I am not wrong it is still using the old API version (2021.10.01) as per GitHub documentation. Can you let us know when can we except the updated package? Also, can you confirm if you are only retiring AI Language preview APIs? If so, the SDK is not impacted as it is using a GA version.

Same as Rohan Islam.. we are using QuestionAnswering and we have over 30-40 product integrations in Production that use our chatbot that leverages Azure Bot Service and Azure AI Language APIs..
We have made changes on our code to upgrade the api-version to 2023-04-01. But... is it necessary to upgrade to that GA version of QuestionAnswering or are we safe using 2021-10-01?

I got the following confirmation from Microsoft.
"The Azure.AI.Language.QuestionAnswering SDK will continue to work with older API versions as mentioned on the latest document by our microsoft internal team."

got confirmation from a MS AI support engineer that asked the right Product Team, that only the -preview versions prior to 2024-11-15-preview will be retired.
So, if you are using any GA version (we are using 2021-10-01), you are safe.
