Why does OneDrive use GMT and not the local time when creating filenames when sync by iOS drive

My iPhone setting my local time zone, but it seems that when OneDrive uploads photos from my iPhone, it creates a new filename for the photo using Date_Time - so the filename becomes yymmdd_hhmmssnnn_iOS.

I am sure I have already do the correct time zone has selected to my Microsoft Account profile:https://account.microsoft.com/profile/ > Edit Country/region for my local region.

Is there some way to get OneDrive to use the local time zone which is recorded in the photos "Date Taken" field? Or fix the photos files name when they have already been upload.

    Hi @IPMan,

As per my knowledge, OneDrive uses UTC to create the filename instead of your local time zone. If you want to change the filename to reflect your local time zone, you can rename the files manually after they have been uploaded. Unfortunately, there is no way to configure OneDrive to use your local time zone when creating filenames.
