Windows 11 - Internet options - Local Intranet - Options agre greyed out for my administrator account

Hello,

Using my administrator account, on Windows 11 pro, in the configuration panel, internet options, i can't change the Intranet options : buttons are greyed out (screencap attached). I can't personnalize the level or the sites. How do i get back these functionnalities ?

Hello there,

Try running Internet Explorer as an administrator and accessing this setting again to see if the issue persists.

1. Press Windows and type Internet Explorer;
2. When listing Internet Explorer click run as administrator on the right side;
3. Click on the configuration gear on the upper right side and select Internet Options;
4. Go to the Security tab again and check if the problem persists.

Create a new user account and check the behavior

You can disable the use of NTLMv1 on Windows devices by using the Local Security Policy editor. To do this, open the Local Security Policy editor and go to Local Policies -> Security Options. In the list of policies, find the setting for Network Security: Restrict NTLM: NTLM authentication in this domain and set it to "Deny all accounts." This will prevent any NTLMv1 authentication from succeeding on the device. Additionally, you should ensure that the latest version of SMB is enabled and that clients are configured to use it.
