Hi Team,
I want to move my application insights instance from one tenant to another tenant. I want all the rules and alerts to remain the same even after moving it to new tenant. How can I do that?

Moving an Azure Application Insights instance from one tenant to another isn't directly supported as a built-in feature in Azure. However, you can achieve this migration by recreating the Application Insights instance in the new tenant and transferring configurations like rules and alerts manually or through automation.
Steps to Move Application Insights to Another Tenant
- Export and Recreate Application Insights Instance
Step 1: In the source tenant, note down the Instrumentation Key and Connection String of the Application Insights instance.
Step 2: In the destination tenant, create a new Application Insights instance with the same type (e.g., Log Analytics-based or Classic).
Step 3: Update your application code or configuration with the new Instrumentation Key and Connection String to start sending telemetry to the new instance.
- Transfer Rules and Alerts
You need to move the Alert Rules, Action Groups, and Workbooks manually or via automation.
Export and Import Alerts Manually
Navigate to Azure Monitor > Alerts > Manage alert rules in the source tenant.
Export each alert rule in JSON format.
In the destination tenant, go to Azure Monitor > Alerts > Manage alert rules and create new rules using the same configurations.
