Can't see the code that the authenticator App generates

I have an account with the Government of Canada to do some annual reporting for my work. I have set up the Authenticator App on my cell as a 2 step verification method. Previously I could see the generated code but now I don't and when I try recovering my account I get a note that my organization doesn't allow that. I have reached out to the IT in my organization and they suggested reaching out here.

    I would ask the IT dept to reset reset the MFA for your account and let you set it up again.
