WUFB Restart Notification Behavior

I am testing WUFB and struggling to get restart notifications to display at all (Win11 at least).

What i expect to happen (that's not happening) is once updates install (and need a reboot) the user should see a persistent popup that requires them to Schedule the restart, delay the restart, or choose to restart now. ideally, they will be reminded of this periodically too until the auto restart deadline happens later.

What ALL policies do i need to leverage to make this work?

based on days of googling, it feels like i am not alone on this struggle bus.

@jaybird283 Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

To clarify this issue, we appreciate your help to provide more information:

1.How did you configure WUFB? Via configuration profile? If possible, please show us the screenshot.

2.Please check if you also configure a windows update ring policy. If yes, it may be conflicting with configuration profile about WUFB. Please also show the screenshot.

Especially for the setting "Change notification Update level".

3.Then please check if the configuration is successfully applied to the device. Check the registry key (UpdateNotificationLevel) under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PolicyManager\current\device\Update

If there is anything update, feel free to let us know.
