    Hi @Bikram Pal ,

Thank you for posting in this community.

Here are some potential solutions based on similar issues:

1.Browser Compatibility: Sometimes, browser compatibility can cause issues. Try using a different browser.

2.Verify if the document library has the "Require documents to be checked out before they can be edited" option enabled. If so, users must check in the documents before they can be uploaded.

3.File Explorer Upload: You can try uploading the files using File Explorer. Open the SharePoint library in File Explorer (Windows Explorer), navigate to the folder where you want to upload the new version of the document, and drag and drop the updated document from your local drive into the SharePoint library.

4.Updates and Patches: Make sure that your SharePoint Server 2019 is up to date with the latest cumulative updates and patches. Sometimes, installing the latest updates can resolve these issues.

Hi thanks for your reply. below is my reply.

1.Browser Compatibility: Sometimes, browser compatibility can cause issues. Try using a different browser. - I do not have the upload issue, i checked my browser version with the affected user, its the same. tried chrome and edge both. same issue for affected user, no issue for me.

2.Verify if the document library has the "Require documents to be checked out before they can be edited" option enabled. If so, users must check in the documents before they can be uploaded.

i checked it, this is set to No.

3.File Explorer Upload: You can try uploading the files using File Explorer. Open the SharePoint library in File Explorer (Windows Explorer), navigate to the folder where you want to upload the new version of the document, and drag and drop the updated document from your local drive into the SharePoint library.

i can try this but this is not a permanent solution. drag and drop in to browser doesnt work.

4.Updates and Patches: Make sure that your SharePoint Server 2019 is up to date with the latest cumulative updates and patches. Sometimes, installing the latest updates can resolve these issues.

we have latest patch installed already (Feb 2025 version)

    Hi @Bikram Pal ,

Thank you for the detailed and specific information.

When you try to access a SharePoint site through your web browser, you receive the following error message:

This site can't be reached The webpage at (URL) might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE

    Cause

The issue was caused by somebody accidentally deleting the site’s home page (Home.aspx). Check whether the homepage is in the recycle bin or site collection recycle bin. For more information about how to recover files from those locations, see Restore items in the recycle bin that were deleted from SharePoint or Teams.

If the homepage isn't in the recycle bin or site collection recycle bin, do either of the following.

1.Make an existing page the homepage

    2.Create a new homepage
