Based on the current way Skype manages calling plans, here’s what we know:
- Skype has shifted away from the traditional “credit top‐up” approach for making calls. Instead, Skype now encourages the use of subscription plans (or packages) to pay for calls. In many cases, you might find that adding credit “the old way” isn’t supported as it once was.
- If you’ve noticed that subscriptions aren’t available for Belgium and Greece, that generally indicates that Skype’s current calling packages do not include those destinations. In practical terms, if you were hoping to pay per minute (or via a similar “credit” system) when calling Belgium or Greece, it appears that this option isn’t available at present via the standard subscription plans.
It’s possible that in the future Skype could introduce new plans or modify its offerings, but as of now, if your target countries aren’t covered by Skype subscriptions (and the traditional credit top-up isn’t an option), there isn’t a direct pay-per-minute calling option available for those countries through Skype.
