How do I update publik IP associated with VNG from Basic?

Greetings!

I understand that you want upgrading IP SKU from basic to standard

Go to the Public IP of the VNG, where you can see the option to upgrade to Standard SKU. Microsoft recommends using Standard SKU public IP addresses for production workloads.

Please select this option to automatically upgrade the IP from basic to standard.

So here's the whole story. It would've been to easy just to click on a link and update IP SKU.

I need to upgrade SKU of my public IPs in Azure from Basic to Standard per MSFT.

When I click on link "Upgrade to Standard SKU - Microsoft recommends Standard SKU public IP address for production workloads" in Public IP address Overview I'm getting: "Can't upgrade at this time Your public IP is currently associated or has dynamic allocation method. Please make sure that public IP is disassociated and has static allocation method before trying again."

'Dissociate' option in Public IP is greyed out and there is a message Public IP configuration saying: "This public IP address can't be updated because it is associated to the IP configuration 'default', in the virtual network gateway 'fbk-dev-vng'.".

IP address is currently set to Dynamic and 'Static' option is disabled.

Could you please let me know if your VNG gateway is Basic SKU?
If you are using the Basic SKU, you need to delete this VNG and create a Standard SKU VNG gateway. There is no direct way to upgrade the IP of the Basic to Standard if it is associated with the VNG gateway.

Remove any connections to the virtual network gateway.

Delete the old VPN gateway.

Create the new VPN gateway.

Update your on-premises VPN devices with the new VPN gateway IP address (for site-to-site connections).

Update the gateway IP address value for any VNet-to-VNet local network gateways that connect to this gateway.

Download new client VPN configuration packages for point-to-site clients connecting to the virtual network through this VPN gateway.

Recreate the connections to the virtual network gateway.
