Configuring Access to Amazon S3 with Limited Permissions
I am working with an Amazon S3 storage system where my access is restricted to a specific bucket/ directory, rather than having root-level access. This limited permission setup has led me to configure the Linked Service in synapse analytics using the "To File System" .
Current Status:
- The Linked Service configuration using "To File System" is successful and am able to test the connection without issues.
- However, when I attempt to use this Linked Service within a dataset or pipeline, the settings are being overwritten.
Key Challenges:
- Limited S3 Access: Your permissions are confined to a specific bucket or directory
- Configuration Inconsistency: The successful Linked Service configuration is not maintained when utilized in datasets or pipelines.
