In some of my spreadsheets, my autosum feature will not work. All I get is a $0 even though I check that the cells I want are included. Has anyone else had this issue?

    Hi,

This is a common issue that many users face. Here are a few potential solutions you can try:

Ensure that the cells you are trying to sum are formatted as numbers. Sometimes, cells might be formatted as text, which can cause the AutoSum feature to return 0. You can change the format by selecting the cells, right-clicking, choosing "Format Cells," and then selecting "Number".

If any of the cells in the range you are summing are hidden, AutoSum might not include them. Make sure all cells are visible.

Merged cells can sometimes cause issues with AutoSum. Try unmerging any merged cells in the range.

Instead of using AutoSum, you can manually enter the SUM function. For example, if you want to sum cells A1 to A10, you can type =SUM(A1:A10) in the cell where you want the result.

Just checking in to see if the information was helpful. Please let us know if you would like further assistance.
